M39 KNIL helmet
This Verblifa m39 KNIL helmet was issued to the Luchtbeschermingsdienst (Air Raid Protection / ARP) just before the invasion of the Netherlands in 1940 and remaind in service during the occupation of the Netherlands.
The helmet has been painted black and is fitted with a civilian model liner.
This Verblifa m39 KNIL helmet was re-used by the PTT in the 1950's/1960's.
